Artist Statement
My work explores the quiet spaces we inhabit, both physically and emotionally. Through simplified structures, muted colors, and subtle textures, I create compositions that invite pause and reflection. There’s a sense of what remains after something has passed — in empty rooms, weathered buildings, and soft boundaries — allowing the viewer to notice details, textures, and moods that might otherwise go unseen.

Each piece carries traces of a moment not solely for themselves, but for the knowledge that beyond the memory lies an instant in time that cannot be erased. While nothing overtly happens in my work, every composition is alive with suggestion, memory, and subtle tension. Viewers are invited to slow down, inhabit the space, and engage with the lingering impressions of life and time. Color and form serve memory and emotion rather than description, evoking warmth, calm, and a sense of gentle containment.

In essence, I aim to create places where nothing is happening — and that is the point: spaces that encourage quiet observation, reflection, and discovery.
Before stepping fully into my own artistic practice, I founded and owned The Art Social, representing and supporting local Colorado artists through professionally curated exhibitions while fostering community through art.
